Historic District Landmarks Commission OK's NOPSI Building's Conversion Into Luxury Hotel

The pair of CBD buildings that once housed the New Orleans utilities provider NOPSI got the thumbs-up from the Historic District Landmarks Commission this week to proceed with plans to convert the buildings into a luxury hotel.

Connecticut-based developers Building and Land Technology bought the properties at 317 Baronne St. in February 2015 for $11.6 million, and Woodward Design+Build are the architects on the 217-room hotel. So much hotel news lately!
