City Park's Botanical Garden will soon be the site of a 192-foot dragon and other lighted displays as part of the upcoming "China Lights" exhibit.
A team of 100 artisans and technical staff from Sichuan Tianyu in Zigong, China created the more than 30 structures, which will include the aforementioned dragon, a "four-story, lit-from-within pagoda towering high enough to be seen from almost any vantage" and other colorful lighted displays.
The exhibit starts Feb. 23 and runs until May 1. We had Luna Fete in November and Celebration in the Oaks in December through the beginning of January—we might get too used to having fun, light-oriented events every month.
