This Audubon Park Condo is Filled With Carnival Collectibles




If you're a fan of old-timey New Orleans Carnival memorabilia, you'll love this tour on NOLA.com of the home of Stephen Hales, archivist for the old-timiest Carnival krewe of all, Rex, and his architect/artist wife, Nancy. The 2,400-square-foot condo on the edge of Audubon Park is filled with Carnival books, art and other collectibles, plus Nancy's paintings and sculpture. In the condo you'll find old float bulletins, medallions, sketches of costume and float designs, and books on Carnival histories.
