Every year, Faith and Form magazine and the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture present awards for religious art and architecture. Among 33 winning projects from around the world, three New Orleans structures picked up awards.
Receiving 2015 awards are Eskew+Dumez+Ripple's St. Pius chapel and prayer garden in Lakeview, an angular chapel complementing the modernist character of the adjacent church; Eskew+Dumez+Ripple and Manning Architects' joint-venture chapel in New Orleans East Hospital, which features striking woodwork; and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects' geometric St. Katharine Drexel Chapel at Xavier University.
