After Donald Trump was announced president-elect early Wednesday morning, many protestors voiced their disapproval that evening.
According to Fox 8, around 100 protestors marched through the Central Business District and the French Quarters on Wednesday, November 9 opposing Secretary Hillary Clinton’s presidential loss.
During the protest, demonstrators vandalized the St. Charles Lee Circle monument, and burned a doll resembling Trump, WWL TV reported.
Additional damage included spray painting One Shell Square, and damaging windows at the St. Charles Chase Bank and Hilton St. Charles.
There is no estimate on the current cost of damage.
