In New Orleans, three things happen during the fourth week of the month: Thanksgiving, Black Friday and the Bayou Classic. And the events leading up to the Bayou Classic are nearly a week long.
Starting Tuesday, November 22, the Bayou Classic Festivities begin in New Orleans. While the events are centered around the 43-year-old football rivalry between Southern University Jaguars and Grambling State Tigers, the Bayou Classic has events for families and non-football lovers.
The Bayou Classic events bring over 200,000 people and $50 million to the New Orleans, according to Nola.com.
Here is a list of the top three Bayou Classic events, including their last-minute costs to attend.
