New Orleans will be the first city to host the Central Time zone Countdown in “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2017.”
This year marks the 45th annual production for the popular New Year countdown production. “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2017” will air live beginning at 7 p.m. Central Time.

New Orleans will be featured in live segments, along with New York City and Los Angeles. In New Orleans, there will be live performances and reports coordinated with the 11th Allstate Fan Fest, which will be held near the Jax Brewery. Additionally, New Orlean’s annual New Year’s celebration, which showcases a fleur-de-lis countdown drop on top of Jax Brewery, will be featured live on the show.

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2017 will air for over 5 hours, featuring live segments from New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York City.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu was elated to hear New Orleans was chosen for the Central Time zone countdown.
