Work on Sidney Torres IV's Bayou St. John Development to Start This Spring

The project was delayed due to soil contamination

Speaking of Sidney Torres IV, his high-end development planned for Bayou St. John should get going soon. Crews are set to start tearing down empty warehouses along the 9-acre stretch of the Lafitte Greenway where the project is planned.

Torres, plus developer Joe Jaeger and Camellia Grill owner Hicham Khodr, is going for a mixed-used development with "apartments, houses, a boutique hotel" and "a gym, cafe, playgrounds, and patio areas where residents and visitors can take in a view of the bayou."

The project was delayed because small levels of contamination were found in soil at the property.
