LGD, CBD Top New Orleans' 10 Most Expensive Neighborhoods

Mid-City is the cheapest neighborhood

New Orleans rent is getting higher, but especially in some neighborhoods. The rental platform Zumper just released a report determining New Orleans' most expensive neighborhoods to rent an apartment.

Not surprisingly, three of the city's most walkable neighborhoods top the list—the Lower Garden District, Central Business District and French Quarter. The full report lists 20 neighborhoods. The cheapest place to rent? Mid-City, where the median rent for a one-bedroom is $1,090/month.

The data was culled from "several thousand" listings from Zumper's Pro tool, which allows landlords and real estate brokers to submit listings to the platform, and listings aggregated from sites like Realtor.com.

The report says the median rent price for a one bedroom in New Orleans is $1,050; a two-bedroom is $1,600.
