Airbnb to Launch Feature to Let Neighbors File Complaints About Rentals

It's scheduled to launch next month

If you're sick of the post-brunch shrieks of bachelorette parties invading your 'hood via Airbnb rentals (as many New Orleanians are), you will soon be able to tattle directly to the short-term rental service.

Next month, Airbnb will unveil a new tool to allow neighbors of rentals to complain about rowdy guests directly to a customer service team. No word yet on if these comments will be public, or how they complaints will affect the offending rentals.

Yasuyuki Tanabe, the head of Airbnb in Japan, unveiled the new tool on Monday in Tokyo.

Soon, those dealing with short-term nightmares will have an outlet other than porch art.
