Currently used as a church, what was once a theater in Algiers Point is now on the market.
Philip Foto opened the theater in 1915 with more than 1,800 seats. The theater hosted vaudeville, jazz and other live shows, and it screened movies. The theater closed in the 1960s, and it's now the home of Love Outreach Christian Church.
The theater is in good condition and contains many of its original details, and would really benefit from the kind of restoration spaces like the Orpheum have seen. The 16,000 square-foot space is asking $745,000.
