Continuing its ride-hailing takeover of New Orleans, Uber announced Friday that its UberX service is now available for pickups at Louis Armstrong International Airport.
Great news - today, I signed the permit for @Uber_NOLA to operate @NO_Airport. More ride sharing companies will follow. #NOLA #NolaProgress

Previously you could only get an Uber to the airport, as New Orleans City Council's regulations limited the service to within city limits.
The minimum fare to and from the airport is $33, and passengers will be required to meet their drivers at a designation "app based ride services" area on the upper level.
