One of the obstacles that has arisen after City Council voted to take down New Orleans' confederate monuments was a bill filed that would require state approval before taking down similar monuments. After a 4-5 vote, the bill failed in a Senate committee this morning.
Still no word on if any contractors will be willing to do the project.
