The Presbytere in the French Quarter closed after a small fire this past weekend. Originally only planned to close for a week, a spokesman says the building will be closed for at least three or four weeks.
A spokesman says "crews are assessing smoke damage to electrical components" in the 200-year-old building.
So when you're down in the Quarter for French Quarter Fest, remember to avoid the Presbytere as your cultural detour.
