The City Planning Commission this week OK'd a massive development from the owner of Tipitina's that's planned for South Shore Marina along Lake Pontchartrain.
Roland Von Kurnatowski’s plan for the former site of the Bally's riverboat casino landing includes an amphitheater, an open-air market, and a promenade with restaurants and retail space, as well as a fuel dock and a marina supply and convenience store.
The $13 million project requires conditional-use permits from the city. It heads to City Council next.
