You Can Make Your Voice Heard on the Fate of the Capri Motel

A public hearing will be held on June 20

Think the city should approve the owners' request for demolition for Tulane Avenue's Capri Motel, or should this midcentury structure be saved? You can give your input at a public meeting on June 20.

The Neighborhood Conservation District Advisory Committee will hold a hearing at City Council chambers at 2 p.m. that day to review the demolition application.

The current owners, who bought the motel in late April, want to demolish everything on the property, but haven't decided what they want to put in the motel’s place.
