Plus, a Garden District home sells right at its asking price

Sorry to anyone hoping to snag Lenny Kravitz’s "bordello modern" former pad in the French Quarter: It’s off the market.

During the week of May 21-27 it sold for $1.05 million—its original asking price was $1.16 million, which went down to $1.075 million. The buyers? Julie Smolyansky, CEO of the kefir company Lifeway, and Jason Burdeen, a jewelry designer.

After Kravitz, Brian Swier—the architect behind the Mercury Lounge, the Bowery Ballroom, and the Music Hall of Williamsburg—owned it.

Other notable sales from that week include that of this Garden District camelback, which sold for $900,000 (which was the asking price).
