The New Orleans Jewish Community Center Uptown is Expanding

It will include an expanded pool area

The New Orleans Jewish Community Center Uptown is planning to expand, adding a new building and reconfiguring its swimming area. The expansion got the OK from the City Planning Commission at its meeting this week.

With Mathes Brierre Architects on the project, the expansion calls for a new three-story, 13,841-square-foot building at the JCC’s St. Charles Avenue campus. Plans also call for an expanded pool area that looks downright resort-like from the rendering.

The project heads on over to City Council for final approval.
