It seems like New Orleans has seen an invasion of hip boutique hotels lately, both homegrown and outposts of national chains—probably to compete with the Airbnb-inclined traveler. There’s even more on the way, too.
Conde Naste Traveler, declaring that New Orleans’ "hotel scene just got hipper," did a roundup of some of these new hotels’ bars. Included on its list? The Bayou Bar and Caribbean Room at the newly reopened Pontchartrain Hotel; the bars at the Moxy Hotel (the first of two New Orleans Moxy Hotels), the Henry Howard Hotel, the Ace, and the Old No. 77.
