Canal Street Beat got ahold of plans for a new mixed-use building planned for a lot near the Mississippi River and the proposed "Trade District."

The Eskew+Dumez+Ripple-designed, 14,000 square-foot, three-story building is slated to include ground-floor commercial space (likely a fitness facility), a storage warehouse, and covered parking. The second and third floors will include offices and a large exterior terrace overlooking Tchoupitoulas Street. The plan also calls for a landscaped courtyard, bike racks, and a rain garden (so hot right now). Head on over to Canal Street Beat for the renderings.
