As many hardcore home-improvement show fans may already know, twins Jonathan and Drew Scott—aka the Property Brothers, stars of the eponymous Canadian series that airs stateside on the HGTV—have been spotted in New Orleans recently, holding alligators, eating beignets, and dining at Shaya. The duo is in town filming a new Property Brothers spin-off, Brothers Take New Orleans, according to an HGTV press release.
Scheduled to premiere in November, the four-episode series finds the brothers renovating two neighboring duplexes in New Orleans, competing to score the highest property value as determined by "local real estate experts." The brothers will work with New Orleans artists to "infuse the city’s distinct character" into the renovations. "Celebrities who have ties to the city" will also appear on the show.
In the end, the two renovated homes will go to two families through SBP, the nonprofit formerly known as the St. Bernard Project.
In other New Orleans HGTV news, the series Big Easy Reno, which premiered last December, is back in town filming two more episodes. Get ready to see a lot of New Orleans in your weekend HGTV marathons.
