New Louis Armstrong Airport terminal is making progress

The project is on schedule and starting to take shape

NOLA.com reports there are some visible signs of progress of the new terminal at Louis Armstrong Airport, scheduled to open in October 2018.

The article says the project is on schedule and starting to take shape:

As of Monday, the site included concrete columns for an elevated roadway, the outline of a controls building, and the beginning of a planned pump station.

A manager on the project said that the basic infrastructure for the terminal "should be in place within the next month."

The airport recently announced a three-star hotel would be built next to the new terminal.
