Rental report: New Orleans is the 18th most expensive city for renters

The report ranks the top 100 U.S. metro areas by population

The most recent ranking by the rental platform Zumper, which releases periodic rental reports, has New Orleans as No. 18 in a list of the most expensive rental markets.

According to the report, which ranks the top 100 U.S. metro areas by population using median rent prices, the median price for a one-bedroom in New Orleans was $1,300 in the past month; a two-bedroom was $1,610. The rents show an increase of 1.6 percent and .6 percent, respectively, from the previous month’s report.
