The Metairie Trader Joe’s opens this Friday, Sept. 23, at 8 a.m.

The store infused with "local flair"

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is so close, we can taste the Cookie Butter: The first Trader Joe’s location to hit the Greater New Orleans area opens this Friday, and CityBusiness reports store managers are "taking precautions to prepare for large crowds." (If you have a CityBusiness subscription, you can even look at photos from inside the store!)

Even though the store is in Metairie, the store has included some New Orleans touches. Employees are called "krewe members" and the walls are adorned with "local flair" including New Orleans-inspired art, a Zulu coconut, and Mardi Gras beads.

The store opens its doors to what I assume will be Black Friday-level pandemonium at 8 a.m. on Friday.
