Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filed for divorce this week (could the conflict have stemmed from their differing opinions of New Orleans?), leaving many to wonder how the two will split their international property collection. Among those properties is their French Quarter mansion, which has coincidentally disappeared from the market recently. Why is that?
The answer is not as scandalous as you think, unless you are titillated by New Orleans street construction. Brigitte Fredy, an agent with Latter & Blum’s French Quarter office, the agency listing 521 Gov. Nicholls St., says the house is off the market temporarily while the street is torn up because of a nearby waterline replacement project.
The last time it was on the market, it was going for $5,650,000.
