This past weekend, Travel + Leisure Magazine named New Orleans the second-best city in the United States, trailing just behind Norfolk, Virginia.
The magazine holds an America’s Favorite Places survey yearly, asking respondents to highlight their hometowns and other cities across the United States worth visiting. This year, respondents recommended New Orleans as the best place for “bachelor or bachelorette parties, festivals, and dining and drinking.”
In 2016, New Orleans also placed 2nd in the America’s Favorite City survey. The year 2017 marks New Orleans fourth consecutive win as America’s No. 2 city.
Earlier this year, New Orleans ranked 4th in the top U.S. cities in Travel & Leisures World’s best cities. Scoring an 89.15, the Crescent City scored the highest in the celebration and food categories.
Though, New Orleans will always be No. 1 in our hearts.
