Built in 1937 is a charming, recently renovated, single-family cottage located in the Irish Chanel. The home is a block from Tchoupitoulas Street, two blocks from Annunciation Street and walking distance from Bakery Village, which was recently featured on The Deed.

The asking price is $585,000, and is for sale by an owner/agent.

“Before, the property had a horrible look. We took the property, ripped it apart, and put it back together for what its is now,” said Brenda Newfield, the owner and agent of the home.

The home was renovated in 2016 by RNB Construction & services.

“The people who lived there before lived at this home for many years. After we renovated, the previous party were in tears and saw how beautiful the house was,” Newfield added.

The double-entry cottage sits directly on the sidewalk. The home has an intimate, covered porch, complimented by tall windows and French shutters.

Inside, heart of pine floors and soaring ceilings are a standard. Complimenting the 2,266 square foot home home is a spacious living room, and a combined dining room and kitchen area.

The kitchen is complimented by heart of pine floors, custom cabinetry, marble countertop finishes and a burner-island combo.

The home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a spacious walk-in closet, and separate bathroom with a dual-sink, marble finishing. A second walk-in closet can be found in the second bedroom.

Out back is a modest, private backyard the houses an intimate wooden deck and brick patio.
