Sidney Torres tours Irish Channel’s Bakery Village home

Torres is genuinely impressed with the home’s floor plan

Bakery Village is a luxury development that allows homeowners to buy a plot of land and build one of several pre-designed, historic homes on the site.

On Wednesday, March 1, CNBC premiered “The Deed,” featuring New Orleans’ Sidney Torres IV as host. In the latest episode, Torres assists Nicole Webre, founder of Livewell Properties, in jumpstarting her new housing development.

Founded in 2015, Bakery village is a housing development created by Livewell Properties, LLC. The development sits on 2.5 acres of land, which previously housed the Turnbull Bakery warehouse.

Bakery village is a development is a luxury development, where homeowners purchase one of 15 sites on the 2.5 acre site, and build one of several pre-designed homes on the property. Livewell Properties created the development with the goal of preserving the historic Irish Channel neighborhood.

This past Thursday, CNBC and Sidney Torres released a home tour of one of Livewell Properties’ flagship properties in Bakery Village.

The Bakery Village home sports tall ceilings, a spacious traditional floor plan, crown molding, and a premiere kitchen. In describing the house, Torres said the home gives “them the old feel with new products,” Torres said.

The master bedroom has custom French doors, floor-to-ceiling windows.

The home also has a fenced, roomy backyard, which also houses a garage with a car port. In considering the design, Torres called the home, in general, well thought out.
