A new multi-use development is set for the East Riverside Neighborhood on 3987 Tchpoupitoulas Street. According to Canal Street Beat, Austin Developers Lisa Marie Boe and Rene Juan Salmon purchased the property in January of 2017 for $137,000.

Based on the designs submitted to the city, the development is three stories tall. There will be two units dedicated for commercial tenants at 930 and 1,190 square feet.

The mixed use development will have two commercial units and three residential units.

On the residential side, the development is planned to have two 660 square feet units with separate balcony access. An additional unit will have 620 square feet with roof deck access. The total area of the development is 5,720 square feet.

Though, if you’re looking for off street parking, you might have to look again. According to a Neighborhood Participation Program meeting, held in the East Riverside neighborhood, the developers were unable to find suitable off street parking—which is a requirement for residents in this zone.

The design architect is New Orleans-based Christopher E. Johnson Architect, LLC.
