Evaluating price ranges in New Orleans: Lower 9th Ward

Some of the least expensive properties are located here

Our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans for the last month. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated 11 New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of fifteen popular neighborhoods in the city.

This week, NeighborhoodX evaluated the Lower 9th Ward.

The average asking price is $83 per square foot, which is the least expensive in NeighborhoodX’s global analysis.

6424 Urqhart Street, a recently renovated cottage priced at $135 per square foot, tops the high end of the graph. The 1100-square-foot home has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

At $44 per square foot, the least expensive property in the analysis is 1820 Tricou Street. The 2,552-square-foot home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The lower 9th Ward is bounded by St. Claude and Florida avenues, Angela Street and the Industrial Canal.
