Alas, its finally here. On Monday, May 22, at 11 a.m., the long-awaited Dave & Busters will open at 1200 Poyrdras Street.

Featured on the Curbed New Orleans 2017 top construction projects, the 264,000-square-foot development has a five-story parking garage, a French bistro on the ground floor and, a 40,000 square-foot Dave & Buster’s on the 6th floor. The New Orleans Dave & Buster’s is the company’s 97th location.

Inside the venue

The entertainment venue has a sports bar, two special event rooms, a board room, an arcade with over 150 games, and a ticket-redemption store.

“We like all of our locations to feel local,” said Alex Purdy, the national marketing manager for Dave & Buster’s.

Designers decorated the walls of the dining areas and special event rooms with iconic images of New Orleans. In the sports-centered dining area, the walls are stylized with names of Louisiana sport team names, from the LSU tigers to the New Orleans Saints.

The Arcade

“You can’t look anywhere without a screen being there,” Purdy said.

Beyond the restaurant’s 30 HD TV’s, the arcade section—dubbed Million Dollar Midway—has over 150 arcade games, including a large-screen Pac Man and AMC’s “The Walking Dead” video game. Throughout the year, Dave & Buster’s will add new video games to its selection, Purdy said.
