Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a semi-regular column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New Orleans neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today, we're looking at apartments renting around $2,500.

↑ On the corner of Tchoupitoulas and John Churchill Chase streets in the Warehouse District is this luxury condo for $2,500/month. The 1,332 square-foot condo has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a bonus office. Highlights include a shared courtyard, private balcony, updated kitchen, and open floor dining and living room. Off-Street parking is available but there is no mention of a pet policy.

↑ Located in East Riverside, a block from Magazine Street, is this colorful condo for $2,500/month. The fully-furnished home comes with one bedroom and one bathroom. Highlights include whitewashed brick, heart of pine floors, and soaring ceilings complete with double crown molding. The tenant pays a flat $100 for utilities and cable, and an additional $100 for bi-monthly maid service. There is no mention of off-street parking.

↑ Check out this penthouse for rent in the French Quarter for $2,400/month. Inside is exposed brick, beautiful wood flooring, and a gorgeous chandelier located in the home’s foyer. The 1,800-square-foot unit has two bedrooms—with ample closet space—and one bathroom. At the rear of the condo is a shared courtyard. The unit offers optional off-street parking and it allows pets.

↑ For $2,500 you can rent this recently renovated condo in Central City. Located on Carondelet, this 2,200-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, and is next to a luxurious bathroom suite. Most notably, the home has a roomy kitchen that is decked out with exposed brick, custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. At the rear is a wooden deck that overlooks a modestly-sized yard. There is no off-street parking and no mention of a pet policy.

↑ In the Bywater is this spacious condo for $2,600/month at the Rice Mill Lofts. At 1,416 square feet, this home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Rooms in the homes are adorned with beautiful street art, exposed brick, structural columns, and concrete floors. Loft amenities include a saltwater lap pool and two rooftop terraces. Off-Street parking is available at the lofts, and tenants are allowed up to two pets.
