Evaluating price ranges in New Orleans: Algiers Point

Curbed NOLA’s 2016 Neighborhood of the Year

Our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans for the last month. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated nine New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of fifteen popular neighborhoods in the city.

This week, NeighborhoodX analyzed the 2015 and 2016 New Orleans Neighborhood of the Year, Algiers Point.

In Algiers Point, the average home is priced at $179 per square foot.

At the lower end is 430 Elmira Avenue, priced at $124 per square foot. The 2,800-square-foot home has five bedrooms and there bathrooms.

On the higher end is 301 Pelican Avenue, a victorian shotgun listed in Curbed NOLA’s curated collection of beautiful shotguns around the city. At 2,002 square feet, the hoe has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

One of a few neighborhoods in the Orleans Parish, Algiers Point is bounded by the Mississippi River, Opelousas and Pelican avenues. In Algiers Point is one of the city’s oldest courthouses, along with some other cool community things.
