June 2017: Lakeview neighborhood price range

Over the last few months, our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated over 10 New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of fifteen popular neighborhoods in the city.

Today NeighborhoodX visited Lakeview. As of June 2017, the average price per square foot in the neighborhood is $201, which sits between the average price points of Bayou St. John and Treme in Neighborhood X’s global analysis.

6819 Argonne Boulevard

This large Lakeview home ranks as one of the most expensive properties in the neighborhood, priced at $306 per square foot. The 3,834-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Highlights include ceiling heights that max out at 14 feet, gorgeous flooring, exposed cypress ceiling joists; a decked out kitchen with exposed brick, granite counter tops; and a super-sized master bathroom suite. A new pool, and patio sit at the rear of the home. The asking price is $1,175,000.

6662 Canal Boulevard.

This Canal Boulevard home sits on the cheaper end of the Lakeview list, priced at $136 per square foot. Measuring in at a sizable 4,125 square feet, this home has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home’s main unit has 3,000 square feet, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The mother-in-law unit has 1,125 square feet, two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Notable features include a 2nd floor balcony, large driveway, and a beautiful oak tree on site. The asking price is $565,000.

Lakeview is bounded by Navarre, West End, Lakeshore and City park neighborhoods.
