New Orleans ranks as one of the sweatiest city in the United States

Humidity in the summer is no joke

Between New Orleans’s summer heat and constant rain storms, it’s almost like summer can’t make up its mind in the Crescent City. Even with a little overcast, New Orleans managed to rank No. 10 as the sweatiest city in the United States.

Yep, No. 10. Though, we’re surprised it’s not higher.

The analysis comes from Ranking of America’s 3rd annual Sweatiest Cities analysis, where it considered homes without central air conditioning, the popularity of public transportation, bike sharing programs, and most stressful professions.

And, the organization looked at average summer temperatures, based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and the U.S. Census Bureau. In fact, the National Weather Service rated last Friday, July 21, as one of the hottest day this summer in New Orleans, so far.

Who else is on the list?

2. Washington, D.C.

3. Chicago

4. Miami

6. Philadelphia

7. Atlanta
