Marigny neighborhood price range in August 2017

Using price per square feet to evaluate cost of housing

Over the last few months, our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated over 10 New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of seventeen neighborhoods in the city.

Today, NeighborhoodX revisited the Marigny. In August of 2017, NeighborhoodX has valued the average price per square foot in this neighborhood at $358.

In its citywide analysis, NeighborhoodX ranked the Marigny as the fourth most expensive neighborhood in New Orleans, just behind the Garden District.

835 Esplanade Avenue Unit F ranks as the most expensive property in the neighborhood, priced at $649/square foot. Built in 1833, this 316 square-feet condo has one bedroom and one bathroom. Sitting on the second floor, it has a balcony that overlooks its shared courtyard. The asking price is $205,000. HOA dues are $207/month.

This much roomier Marigny condo reigns as the least expensive property in the neighborhood, priced at $214/square foot. Sitting on Marigny Street, this beautiful two-story unit has a wide open floor living room, two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. A shared courtyard sits at the rear of the unit. The asking price is $299,900. HOA dues are $618/month.
