Uptown neighborhood price range in August 2017

Using price per square feet to evaluate cost of housing

Over the last few months, our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated over 10 New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of seventeen neighborhoods in the city.

Today, NeighborhoodX revisited Uptown. In August of 2017, NeighborhoodX has valued the average price per square foot in the neighborhood at $311.

In its citywide analysis, NeighborhoodX ranked Uptown as the fifth most expensive neighborhood in New Orleans, just behind the Marigny.

5200 St Charles Avenue ranks as one of the most expensive homes in Uptown, and rivals many on the top 25 most expensive NOLA homes list. Priced at $589/square foot, this home has an exquisite landscaped garden, and has undergone extensive exterior and interior renovations. Highlights include its gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, and elevator. The asking price is $2,499,000.

This triplex located at 2135 Robert Street reigns as the least expensive property in Uptown, priced at $139/square foot. Measuring in at 3,164 square feet, this complex has a total of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. All units have wood flooring and separate living and dining areas. All of the units share a porch and sunroom. The asking price is $439,000.
