Slightly more expensive than Treme, less than Lakeview

Over the last few months, our friends at NeighborhoodX have analyzed house prices in New Orleans. So far, the analytics and research firm evaluated over 10 New Orleans neighborhoods in depth and released a global analysis of seventeen neighborhoods in the city.

Today, NeighborhoodX revisited Freret. In September of 2017, NeighborhoodX has valued the average price per square foot in the neighborhood at $206. In a recent chart that ranks 17 neighborhoods from least to most expensive, NeighborhoodX listed Freret near the middle of the road. In comparison, Lakeview has an average of $206/square foot.

The most expensive home in Freret is this 875-square-foot condo, asking $296/square foot. Exactly $90 over the neighborhood average per square foot, this small home has two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Highlights include its ensuite master bathroom, and washer and dryer hook ups. While it does have a wooden deck at its rear, it’s a bit cramped for our taste. The asking price is $259,000.

Measuring in at 2,375 square feet, this raised basement has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
