Here’s a closer look at home prices in the Irish Channel

Evaluating home prices by price per square foot

This past January, our friends at NeighborhoodX have evaluated home prices in 19 New Orleans neighborhoods. This week, the research and analytics firm has analyzed home prices across the Irish Channel.

Homes in the Irish Channel have an average listing price of $263/square foot, ranging from $159/square foot to $366/square foot.

“To put these prices in context, the Irish Channel falls between Freret ($201/square foot) and Faubourg Livaudais ($267/square foot) in terms of pricing,” said Constantine Valhouli, Director of Research for NeighborhoodX.

3137 Constance Street.

The most expensive home for sale in the Irish Channel is this new construction located at 3137 Constance Street that asks $425/square foot. Built in 2017, this 3,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It has an airy living room, open floor dining room, and large master bedroom. The asking price is $1.275 million.

You can buy the least expensive property in this neighborhood for $160/square foot. Located at 2928 Annunciation Street, this multi-family property has two units, which each have three bedrooms and one bathroom. It also has a mother-in-law suite has one bedroom and one bathroom. Measuring at 3,600 square feet, this property asks $575,000.
