This renovated 20th-century corner store (now a home) and its cottage addition just hit the market earlier this month. While new, we think it might make a great contender in our list of the best store-to-home conversions we’ve seen on the market in New Orleans.

Its asking price is $575,000, which is about $188/square foot.

This giant home sits on a 6,200-square-foot lot on Delery Street, not far from the Mississippi River. Its cottage addition has a front yard, white picket fence, and a roomy sitting porch.

This home makes great use of space, especially in its inviting living room, gallery, den, dining room and office. Highlights include its large windows, antique heart pine flooring, recessed lighting, and 12-foot ceilings.

And its large spaces doesn’t stop short at its kitchen, which has stainless steel appliances, a sizable island, and wood siding. Though, we’re particularly drawn to its custom wood oven range.

At 3,065 square feet, this home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

A generously-sized backyard and patio sit at its rear.
