Natural light pours through the floor-to-ceiling windows and bounces off the antique chandeliers of this circa-1892 Victorian in Uptown, which was renovated most recently in 2013. Designer and contractor Michael Carbine oversaw three major renovation projects, which gutted and remodeled the bathrooms and added a first-floor breakfast area off the kitchen.

The result is a thoughtfully updated space that preserves the home’s many original components—carved marble mantels, coved plaster ceilings, and wavy antique glass among them. Floor-to-ceiling silk draperies complement 12-foot ceilings and the walls’ soft, neutral tones. A newly expanded kitchen features Calcutta marble countertops and a wet bar.

In the master bedroom suite, find a a marble-trimmed bathroom and a sitting room with a wood-burning fireplace. There are four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms in the home’s 3,563 square feet.

Outside, a heated saltwater pool and cabana with a full bathroom beckon. The asking price is $1,950,000.
