Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a semi-regular column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New Orleans neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, we’re looking at apartments renting around $1,800.

3208 Palmyra Street

In Mid-City you can rent this modest luxury condo for $1,700/month. Measuring at 788 square feet, this renovated unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It has tall ceilings, ceiling fans, and large windows. In its kitchen you’l find stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. It also has access to a private balcony and off-street parking. Both cats and dogs are allowed under its rental agreement.

842 Ida Street

If you’re looking for something large, check out this Bayou St. John apartment that asks $1,700/month. Measuring at 1,800 square feet, it has two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. We’re in love with this home’s hardwood flooring, mantel, and exceptional wood trimming. It has off-street parking, on-site washer and dryer, and access to a shared backyard. The owner allows both cats and dogs in this unit.

2022 Barracks Street

For $1,700/month, you can rent part of this double in Treme. At 989 square feet, this home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You’ll find a deep open-floorplan, a furnished kitchen, and an in-unit washer and dryer. Though we love the fact it has both a front and rear porch. This home does not allow pets, and has no off-street parking.

2635 Milan Street

$1,750/month rents this second-floor unit in Milan. Measuring at 1,600 square feet, this home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. You’ll find an airy layout, a gorgeous mantel, and soaring ceilings. Highlights include access to a private balcony and an in-unit washer and dryer. While you won’t have off-street parking, you are allowed to have both cats and dogs in this unit.

520 South Jefferson Davis Parkway

In Mid-City you can rent this single-family home for $1,900/month. Measuring at 1,150 square feet, it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This home has a spacious kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Its bathrooms underwent a renovation, and now have granite finishes. It master bedroom has a large walk-in closet. However, there isn’t any mention of a pet policy or off-street parking.
