Robért Fresh Market’s Marigny store will hold grand opening this Saturday

It officially opened last December

Nearly two months after the store opened to the public, Robért Fresh Market will officially celebrate the opening of its 2222 St. Claude Avenue location on Saturday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The grand opening, which will have food samples and live music, is free and open to the public.

The estimated $9.5 million market opened on December 30, 2017. It spans 27,000 square feet and has an additional 15,000 square feet for retail parcel. Robért Fresh Market began construction of its St. Claude Avenue location in January of 2017.

Filling the void of a fresh food desert for the Bywater and Marigny, the construction of this market was partially funded by the City of New Orlean’s Fresh Food Retailer Initiative, which encourages retailers to maintain stores in underserved communities. Circle Foods in the 7th Ward, The ReFresh project’s Whole Foods Market in Mid-City, and Dryades Public Market in Central City are other locations tuned by New Orleans’s Fresh Food Retailer Initiative.
