4 open houses you can catch this weekend in NOLA

These are our favorite homes this week

New Orleans has several beautiful homes on the market. Some listed homes date back to the 19th century, while other have captivating stories behind their constructions. Here’s a list of four exceptional open houses you shouldn’t miss this weekend, April 13 to April 15.

8405 Jeannette Street

Via Joe Robert/Inhab Real Estate

This renovated camelback in Carrollton just hit the market for $535,000. We love its cozy porch, vibrant facade, and off-street parking. Measuring at 2,370 square feet, this home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Highlights include its tall ceilings, wood flooring, and a great open floorplan. A covered porch overlooks this home’s sizable yard at its rear. An open house is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

For $129,500 you can buy this shotgun with tons of off-street parking in Holy Cross. It has a deep and open floorplan. Its kitchen, which has a mantel, comes furnished with stainless steel appliances. Measuring at 722 square feet, this home has one (surprisingly roomy) bedroom and one bathroom. It’s open on Saturday, April 14, from 1: p.m. to 3 p.m.

This gorgeous Uptown Victorian with a carport is on the market for $475,000. We appreciate this home’s traditional living and dining spaces. Toward the rear of the home, you’ll find a large dining room. It has tall ceilings, pocket doors, gorgeous floors, and carved mantels. Measuring at 1,632 square feet, this home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We’re in love with its large master bedroom suite that has a giant closet and a bathroom with a double vanity. Out back is a large backyard and patio. You can visit this home on Sunday, April 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

912 Second Street

Via Sharon Sikora/Latter & Blum

In the Irish Channel, this fantastic dwelling lists for $450,000. At first glance we appreciate it landscaped yard, tall windows, and shutters. Restored in 2013, you’ll find 12-foot ceilings, its original wood floors, and large windows throughout. Its airy kitchen has wood cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. At 1,419 square feet, this home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A large patio and covered porch sits at this home’s rear. An open house for this home is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
