Last week our friends at NeighborhoodX analyzed the found the 10 least expensive homes for sales in the French Quarter. This week the research and analytics firm published the 10 least expensive homes in the Lower Garden District.
These Lower Garden District homes range from $199,000 to $290,000.
“What does this get you? Between 556 square feet to 1,300 square feet of space, a mix of one and two bedrooms—all condos except for the shotgun house at 1679 St. Thomas St,” said Constantine Valhouli, director of research for NeighborhoodX.
”On a price per square foot basis, these range from $158/square foot to 390/square foot,” said Constantine Valhouli, Director of Research for NeighborhoodX. “This is a good reminder that it is usually never enough to use just one metric when evaluating a property.”
The least expensive home is this modest condo at 1532 St. Andrews Street that asks $199,000. Unit 201 has one bedroom, one bathroom, and 556 square feet of floorspace. The modern home sports an open floorplan and hardwood floors. Off-street parking access can be added for an additional $15,000. HOA dues are $236/month.
