B on Canal just opened in the Central Business District after a multimillion-dollar renovation. Located at 1300 Canal Street, and standing 15 stories tall, it’s housed in a 1930s century building near the French Quarter.
The lobby is outfitted with Roman arches, stately columns, an elevator with gold-brushed doors, and custom black-and-white marble flooring. You’ll also find Renaissance-inspired illustrations along the lobby’s walls.
The boutique lodging has 155 guest rooms that range from 231 square feet to 863 square feet of floorspace. The hotel has 1,750-square feet of event space, including a grand ballroom that overlooks Canal Street.

B on Canal also has Madam’s Modern Kitchen + Bar, a casual restaurant with both public and private dining rooms.
The hotel formerly stood as Hotel 504, but the owner sold it to The InSite Group—a Florida-based real estate investment firm—in 2015 for $20 million.
