In the spring of 2018, The Domain Companies opened The Standard at 1001 Julia Street. The $80 million mixed-use development has 15 stories, and 89 residential units, and 24,000 square feet of retail space.

Designed by architect Morris Adjmi, a New Orleans native, the Standard is the third mixed-use development in the South Market District.

The Standard also includes 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space. Highlights include a pool and amenity deck, pool house, lounge, fitness center, lobby, and a rooftop dog park.

“Our goal was to reference the architecture and natural flora of New Orleans,” said Adjmi, in an official release by the Domain Companies. “We wanted to create a built environment that was both authentic and drew on the historical context of the surrounding area.”

According to the Domain Companies, more than half of the residential units at The Standard have been sold. The most expensive unit sold is The Standard’s $3.215 million penthouse, which is one of two penthouses in the mixed-use development.

The residential units start at $650,000 for one-bedrooms; $785,000 for a two-bedrooms; and $1.189 million for a three-bedrooms.

Visit the The Standards at South Market’s official website for additional information on the units for sale.
