The home has existed for 128 years

This airy, high-ceilinged victorian in Uptown has only had four owners in its 128 years—two of whom were the original owners.

Located at 1929 General Pershing St., the single-family home has five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Its asking price was recently reduced to $1,375,000.

Highlights include a brick patio, porch, balcony and deck conducive to outdoor living. The home’s facade appears largely the same as it did in 1890, though a side addition was later added. But a number of modern details—including cypress cabinetry in the kitchen and a laundry room on the second level—bring this home in the 21st century with style.

A kitchen fitted with stainless steel appliances, a double oven, butler’s pantry, and wine cooler opens to a dining area and deck for seamless entertaining. Outside, a saltwater pool awaits, fringed by a tropical landscape of bamboo and palm trees. And rooftop solar panels keep the crystal chandeliers and outdoor string lights efficiently ablaze.
