Lake Terrace manse with a “resort-style” saltwater pool asks $975K

A gazebo, steam room, and cabana complete the luxury grounds

Situated a block from the lakefront, this 4,282-square-foot home is in close proximity to New Orleans’ beachiest area: sea gulls, dolphins, palm trees, and sand beaches can be found in and around Lake Pontchartrain’s salty waters. It’s fitting, then, that the home’s standout feature is what its listing (accurately!) describes as a “resort-style pool.”

The saltwater pool is flanked by a patio. A gazebo anchors one end, and there’s a hot tub at the other.

Many of the home’s bedrooms overlook the spacious grounds, which also feature a cabana and steam room. A staircase leads to the master bedroom. From the patio, one enters a kitchen and den which are ideally positioned for entertaining. French doors provide pool views and lots of light.

There’s also a formal dining room, where highlights include a massive crystal chandelier, wood floors, and wainscoting.

The Lake Terrace home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It was built in the late 1960s and renovated in 2004. The master bathroom features a jetted tub and double vanities, plus an expansive walk-in closet.

There’s also a loft with exposed overhead beams, which give it a cozy feel.
