If you’re a fan of St. Charles Avenue’s Cabana Club—a clean-lined, low-slung white brick apartment building with teal accents—this Lake Terrace home may feel familiar. Like the Cabana Club, it was designed by Bernard Aronson. Its brick exterior, midcentury modern style, and prominent pool, designed by Aronson’s brother Norman, link it to those iconic apartments as well.

The 3,186-square-foot home received a sensitive renovation in 2017, which modernized its interior but preserved many hallmarks of midcentury modern style. Highlights include terrazzo floors, stained glass windows, wood paneling, and vintage 4x4-inch tiles in the bathroom. Stylish palm tree leaf wallpaper adds to the home’s tropical flair.

There’s also plenty of natural light thanks to transoms, skylights, and glass doors overlooking the backyard pool. Porches, patios, and a poolside patio extend the living area, which is already pretty expansive.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home sits on a large corner lot facing Killdeer Park. It’s asking price is $635,000.
